Col de Teghime rally

Yesterday, 1 April 2026, at 5.30pm, a rally called by the Grand Site de France was held at the Col de Teghime to denounce and condemn the acts of vandalism committed against the historic casemate on the night of Thursday 26 to Friday 27 March.

On this occasion, the mayors and elected representatives of the Grand Site, the Moroccan consul general, the director of the Grand Site, the director of the prefect's private office and the president of the Uss Corsica association took the floor to strongly condemn these unacceptable acts in the presence of the colonel commanding the Haute-Corse gendarmerie group and a large crowd made up of a strong delegation of veterans, the director of the ONACVG, the Barbaggio and Oletta-Poggio d'Oletta communal civil security reserves, political organisations, . . and ordinary citizens.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all those who were sensitive to this criminal act and who came to show their solidarity and attachment to this place steeped in history and remembrance.

In the face of this attack on our shared heritage, we are now placing our trust in the courts to find the perpetrators and sentence them in a manner commensurate with the material and immaterial damage caused to this historic building and the moral burden it represents.

Together, let's stand united to protect and preserve our collective memory.
