Ceramics
Serving the tableware and wine industry
Ceramics, whether in the form of tableware or unique amphorae for winemakers, are one of the region's finest products.
The Julien Truchon Workshop specialises in tableware and collaborates with numerous producers such as winegrowers and beekeepers. In particular, it produces the amphora for new wine during the Saint Martin festival in Patrimonio in November. Julien Truchon, who possesses genuine expertise, first studied this craft in Burgundy before moving to Patrimonio in 2007, following in the footsteps of his father, himself a ceramist. His workshop also has a showroom where you can discover his works. Julien Truchon has also diversified in his field by branching out into decoration, creating wall and hanging installations.

Cutlery
Between heritage and passion
Cutlery, under the auspices of the Corsican Cutlers' Union, is a prime example of a structured sector of artisans who promote their region.
The Corsican knife is an iconic symbol of the island's craftsmanship. It continues to be perpetuated today by passionate artisans, keen to promote this ancestral practice through a label and a charter that is very useful in preventing counterfeiting. The traceability of materials, ethics, patience and passion characterise the work of these exceptional artisans. In the past, Farinole ore was used to create Corsican styluses or knives. In the Grand Site de France area, two cutlers still perpetuate this unique craftsmanship: Luc Plavis in Barbaggio and Yves Andreani in Patrimonio.
To visit our cutlers, it is strongly recommended that you contact them in advance.

The soap factory
When nature inspires craftsmanship
Established in 2006, Savonnerie du Nebbiu has become a major pillar of craftsmanship in the Grand Site de France area.
Created by two enthusiasts, Laetitia and Philippe Straforelli, the Nebbiu soap factory is located in the heart of the Patrimonio vineyards. Many products in a variety of colours and scents (soaps, shampoos, home fragrances, etc.) are handmade using regional scents (grape marc, immortelle, myrtle, citron, etc.). The products are made on site in their laboratory next to the shop. The soap factory also offers summer tours of its creative workshop (contact them in advance to find out the dates).

Corsican santons
The living craftsmanship of Patrimonio
Located in the village of Patrimonio, Didier Andreani's CORSICA CREATIONS workshop produces and paints entirely by hand Corsican santons, as well as wooden creations, perfect for beautiful «made in Corsica» souvenirs (magnets, corkscrews, etc.).
Santons are a truly iconic tradition in the south of France and Corsica. Corsica Créations offers a range of over thirty models of Corsican santons depicting characters from everyday life on the island. These include: the Corsican shepherd, the Corsican bandit, the water carrier, a grape picker, a hunter and his cursinu, a Corsican singer, polyphonic singers, the winegrower, the milkmaid, the cheese seller, the clementine seller, etc.
To visit or purchase products from the workshop, it is strongly recommended that you contact them in advance.
