The management plan

a project for protection, management and enhancement

The management plan sets out the Grand Site's strategy for the period 2024–2031. It reflects the shared ambitions for the preservation, enhancement and sustainable management of the area through a programme of actions developed jointly with all partners.

With strong, shared and effective governance, the regional project for the period 2024–2031 takes into account the levers and specific characteristics of the Grand Site region and its partners. The Grand Site project for the second certification period is driven by local and global ambitions. It is part of a heritage and sustainability approach based on the principles of moderation, frugality and multifunctionality in order to meet the cross-cutting challenges of preserving landscapes and biodiversity, managing tourist numbers, ensuring balanced local development and building resilience to climate change.

Four thematic objectives

are organising the regional development plan until 2031

The objectives translate into commitments which are themselves broken down into operational actions scheduled biannually between the joint association and its partners.

Le project to manage the renewal of the Grand Site label was co-constructed between the joint association and participants in the exchange days focusing on both the assessment and prospects of the initiative Grand Site de France. The finalised version of the project was presented and consolidated by the same partners. It constitutes a realistic, proactive and dynamic roadmap for the next eight years.
