A look back at the Grand Site Archaeology Days in pictures

This Saturday, 14 June 2025, The Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, Patrimonio vineyard – Gulf of Saint-Florent organised its first underwater archaeology days at the Maison du Grand Site.

On the programme for this event:

  • Exhibition: The depths of underwater archaeology
    A fascinating immersion through underwater photographsandarchaeological artefacts, revealing the buried treasures of the Mediterranean.
  • Conference: The Gulf of Saint-Florent through the centuries
    With Charles Pinelli, We explored the maritime history of this exceptional site, between forgotten shipwrecks and tales of yesteryear.
  • Workshop: Little Archaeologists
    The children stepped into the boots of explorers of the past for a fun introduction to archaeological excavations.
  • Mini-conference: What is underwater archaeology?
    A lively and educational presentation for younger children, led as always by the fascinating Charles Pinelli.

A total of around forty participants were present throughout the day, proof of the growing interest in our underwater and Mediterranean heritage!

We thank them warmly and look forward to seeing them again soon for new adventures at the Grand Site.
