School trips to the seaside at the Grand Site

On 2 and 3 June, the Grand Site welcomed Year 6 and Year 7 classes from schools in Patrimonio and Saint-Florent to the Saleccia as part of the school trips organised under the educational programme implemented with the French Ministry of Education.

On the agenda for the day:

  • Discover the evolution of the port of Saint-Florent from antiquity to the present day
  • Observing the landscapes of the Grand Site's coastline from the sea
  • Historical observations and explanations regarding coastal defensive and military structures
  • Awareness of coastal geology

This adventure gave our young explorers the opportunity to travel through time while contemplating the wonderful coastal landscapes of their region from the Gulf of Saint-Florent.
