On the occasion of Strada di a Memoria 2024, which celebrates the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Teghime Pass, several workshops were held to immerse secondary school pupils in Haute-Corse in the context of this historic battle of the Second World War.
The Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, Patrimonio vineyard – Gulf of Saint Florent, in partnership with the event organisers, took part in running a workshop aimed at presenting the Grand Site and the developments carried out across the entire pass.
We were thus able to show them the famous Casemate du Col de Teghime, which has been fully restored and features panels recounting the stages of the famous battle to reconquer the territory.
The pupils enjoyed walking through the trenches of this building, which was once occupied by Italian and German soldiers.
It was a captivating and enriching day of history for this young audience!
