[EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS 2024]
This year, the themes for European Heritage Days are « the Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections» and «Maritime Heritage». With a programme spread over Saturday and Sunday, the joint association of the Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, Patrimonio vineyards – Gulf of Saint Florent offers four completely free events in the area.
These events are open to all, but booking is required as places are limited. Bookings can be made at l.beguinot@gsfconcadoru.fr or by telephone on 04 95 55 28 20.
In addition, during this weekend, the Maison du Grand Site de France in Saint Florent will remain open and admission will be free.
Saturday, 21 September: «Maritime Heritage»:
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. : Lecture by Mr Guy Meria on the Vecchiaia trail, and presentation of his book currently in progress. The lecture will take place at the Maison des Vins in Patrimonio.
10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. In the morning, a guided walk is offered along the Vecchiaia trail between Saint-Florent and Farinole to learn about the flora and fauna of the coastline. We will also explore the ruins of an ancient tower, now destroyed, a remnant of the Genoese era.

The return journey is made independently.
3pm to 5pm Creative workshop on making a Genoese tower for children aged 6-10 at the Grand Site de France visitor centre.
Sunday, 22 September, «Heritage of routes, networks and connections»
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In the morning, a guided walk is offered on the Patrimonio Heritage Trail. Accompanied by Grand Site de France staff, set off to discover the local heritage as well as the waterways, known as strettes, which form a network connecting the sea and the land at the Grand Site.
