Operation «Dry Stones»

Step 2: Restoration of pagliaghji

First of all, before telling you about the second stage of the dry stone walling project, the entire Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, Vignoble de Patrimonio – Golfe de Saint Florent wishes you a very happy New Year 2023 and sends you its best wishes.

Last July, we presented the inventory of the Grand Site's built agricultural heritage.

The second stage of the dry stone operation, which began recently, will consist of restoring two pagliaghji for demonstration and educational purposes as part of a social integration project.

On Tuesday, 10 January 2023, a visit to Pagliaghju in the municipality of Poggio d'Oletta will take place at 10 a.m. in the presence of the mayors of the Grand Site municipalities, winegrowers, the ABF, the OEC, the CAUE and the DREAL. If you are interested, please feel free to join us.

The aim of this event is to introduce you to the built agricultural heritage of the Grand Site, to raise awareness about its preservation, and to exchange and debate with speakers on restoration techniques and methods.
