On Friday 12 September, around fifteen people took advantage of the visit to Pierre Carli's honey farm in Patrimonio organised by the Grand Site. The day gave participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of bees and beekeeping in Corsica.
Pierre Carli welcomed the group for a comprehensive tour of his facilities. He shared his expertise by explaining the various stages of honey production, from the meticulous work of the bees to the bottling process. The discussions were rich, punctuated with fascinating explanations about the essential role of bees in the environment.
The visit ended on a sweet note with a tasting of several varieties of honey, each with typical local flavours. Many thanks to Pierre Carli for his warm welcome and for sharing his passion throughout the day.
