Start of development work on the Col de Teghime

Construction work on the Teghime Pass development project has just begun. The overall philosophy of the project is to prioritise the «renaturalisation» of the site while offering a number of amenities that will enhance the panoramic, scenic and historical appeal of the site.

The restoration of the famous bunker, a remnant of the Second World War, will be one of the projects undertaken.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover a totem presenting the Grand Site (RIS panel), a landscape reading desk and a graphic representation of the Battle of Teghime during the Second World War. The aim of this operation is to offer a soberly designed public space that will allow visitors to appreciate the wonderful landscapes of the Grand Site in complete safety and with strict respect for the environment.

This development will offer visitors a high-quality, educational and informative welcome.

It will bring additional prestige and appeal to this gateway to the Grand Site.

Indeed, the Teghime Pass could become an iconic tourist landmark that is not to be missed.

Once developed, it will become a picture-postcard location within the Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, Patrimonio vineyard – Gulf of Saint Florent.

Shortly afterwards, work will also begin on the development of the Barbaggio viewpoint.

We will keep you regularly informed of the progress of these development operations on our social media channels, website and, of course, in our bi-monthly newsletter.
