Grand Site Festival, 6 June 2026
The Grand Site Festival returns for a 2ᵉ edition full of discoveries and emotions, around the theme of «biodiversity and living landscapes», at the San Francescu Convent in Oletta.
Treasure hunts, nature walks, participatory workshops, artistic experiments... a whole day to explore the region's biodiversity, landscapes and knowledge.

Treasure hunt: Odissea Maria Gentile
In teams of 2 to 6 people, come with friends or family to solve the riddles of our treasure hunt devoted to the area's biodiversity, heritage and landscape, and compete against other teams in a warm and friendly atmosphere on a 5.4 km route.
There are lots of prizes to be won!

Exploring biodiversity
Want to become a naturalist explorer for a day?
Take part in a flora and fauna inventory and help to identify the Grand Site's biodiversity!
Alongside experts and enthusiasts, observe, identify and discover the plant and animal species that surround us... Every eye counts!
Meet at the Convent of Saint François d'Oletta at 9.30am.

Nature walk
«Rediscover our landscapes from the ridge path that stretches from Monte Seccu and overlooks the village of Poggio d'Oletta. This walk will take you to a station of the famous and protected island cabbage (Brassica insularis), a rare and globally threatened species that has earned the site its place in the Natura 2000 network. This nature walk has two voices: those of the Grand Site's landscape gardener and François Tomasi, a well-known guide.»
Meet at the Col de Teghime car park at 9.45am.

Biodiversity and natural habitats in the vineyards
At the Montemagni estate, in the heart of the Patrimonio PDO, you can discover an experimental operation to improve the habitat of shrikes. Guided by Aurélie, the estate's agronomist, and a naturalist from the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels de Corse, you'll be able to observe and understand the viticultural and ecological benefits of creating favourable habitats for shrikes by planting islands of vegetation in the form of copses, thickets, melliferous clumps, etc.... while enjoying the magnificent scenery.
Meet under the olive trees of the Montemagni vineyard (Oletta plain), Take the small tarmac road opposite Le Montana restaurant towards the Orinaju housing estate (GPS point 42°39'34.22 "N 9°19'37.26 "E).

Nature drawing workshop
Discover and represent the emblematic plants of the Grand Site!
Immerse yourself in the heart of nature and learn the art of botanical drawing like a true naturalist.
During this bilingual workshop, let yourself be guided by the Grand Site's cultural mediator and the association Pratica Lingua Nebbiu to observe, understand and draw the local flora while practising languages.
An immersive experience combining nature, art and language that's not to be missed!

I Sapientoni di e Piante« game»
In teams of 2 to 4 people, test your botanical, linguistic and cultural knowledge in a « blind test revisited like no other!
Will you be able to recognise the plants on the Grand Site, find their names in Corsican and French, and unearth a use, legend or belief about them?
Hosted by François Tomasi, this fun and friendly game promises food for thought, laughter and team spirit.
It's up to you!

Being in the world - and other attempts« show»
At the crossroads of Land Art, «Being in the world - and other attempts» invites you on an open-air sensory adventure, where the landscape becomes a stage and living matter.
Let yourself be carried away on a journey in situ, along a path where your steps guide your gaze. Move closer, further away, change your perspective... and follow the acrobat on a poetic exploration of space.
At the heart of this journey, the voices of the local people intertwine with the landscape, adding an intimate and sensitive dimension to what you discover.
A moment suspended between art, nature and emotion, to be experienced to the full.
Meet at the Convent of Saint-François d'Oletta from 5.15pm.

At the Grand Site Village - Parvis du Couvent Saint-François d'Oletta
Continuously throughout the day, from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., you can :
Discover a variety of interactive stands on the theme of Biodiversity and Living Landscapes: vitiforestry, fire risk, Hermann's turtle, chiropterans, Limonium, beekeeping and saffron farming, naturalist sound recognition and landscape sound map, etc.
Take part in games and creative workshops to familiarise yourself with the wealth of flora and fauna on the Grand Site.

MID-DAY :
The Associu Mossa Olittesa will be on hand to provide refreshments and snacks, so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
AT THE END OF THE DAY, at 5 p.m.
Before the show, the day will conclude with the presentation of prizes to the big winners:
