Presentation of the assessment and inventory of the built agricultural heritage present on the Grand Site carried out by students from the Montpellier School of Architecture.

For two months, under the guidance of service provider Sud Concept, four students from the Montpellier School of Architecture explored the Grand Site area in search of agricultural heritage buildings such as pagliaghji, casette, murets and other aghje, etc.

An inventory and assessment of nearly 200 buildings and monuments, including their census, geolocation, characteristics and state of conservation, as well as technical restoration data sheets, were submitted to the Syndicat Mixte du Grand Site.

This is the first stage of a long-term project, as the second stage will take place next autumn, with the aim of restoring two elements of the built heritage through a social integration project.

This ambitious project will have an educational focus and aim to demonstrate «best practices» in restoration by owners of their built agricultural heritage.
